Overview

THE ROLE:

The Sr. Designer conceptualizes, designs and art direct compelling visual solutions that project the Herbalife brand effectively across a variety of media, including print collateral, digital/web media, packaging, environmental/signage, corporate identities, illustration, photography, video/motion graphics and any other innovative media that the company may use to promote the Herbalife brand to Loyal Customers, Preferred Members, Distributors and the general public.

his person will collaborate in the creative process along side other members of the Creative Team like the copywriters and photographer.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

  • Conceptualize, design and art direct compelling visual assets requested by the Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Events and Digital Marketing teams.

  • Ensure effective communication between all team members, designers, writers and production artists.

  • Being able to train, and supervise Temp staff if needed.

  • Report any challenges, issues, and concerns that may affect the completion of projects on time to the Creative Manager and the Project Manager in a timely manner.

  • Keep up to date with the Herbalife brand as it evolves, and ensure all assets created follow the latest brand guidelines.

  • Collaborate in the creative process with writers, other designers, and staff across multiple departments to ensure an effective integration of both copy and visuals that result in compelling and effective solutions.

  • Develop and collaborate on creating internal style guides for events, some product launches and other initiatives that are particular to our NAM region.

  • Suggest industry best-practices into the department.

  • Ability to work closely with photographers to plan and art-direct photoshoots whether it is in-house or through external vendors.

  • Be a team player and keep a respectful, positive attitude towards colleagues and Project Managers.

Historically we have pioneered the acquisition of new creative technologies for our brand and have been involved in proposing new brand expressions and engaging brand campaigns to push our brand to the next level. We also produce our own photography and have video edition and motion graphics capabilities

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 8+ years Designer experience using Apple hardware/software and proficiency on Adobe Creative Cloud suite, and advance knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro

  • Willing to explore new AI technologies

  • Ability to conceptualize ideas and communicate effectively to team members.

  • Expert knowledge across multiple communication vehicles: digital/web, print, Packaging, corporate ID, style guides, photography, video, environmental design and be open to embrace new emerging technologies.

  • Basic knowledge of production work in order to art-direct production artists

  • Experience in photo shoot art direction

  • Presentation development, and presentation delivery to stakeholders and even senior executives.

Education

  • BA or college degree in Design or Fine Arts with emphasis in Graphic Design or Advertising
