Overview

THE ROLE:

The Production Artist will be responsible for compositing and editing electronic art files for print media and web media, which includes, but not limited to: booklets, magazines, flyers, posters, downloadable PDF files, Art of Promotion files, large format artwork for events, digital display artwork, labels, packaging, web graphics, social media shareables and gif animations, using mainly, but not limited to Adobe Creative Cloud suite.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: (Responsibilities and tasks associated with the job)

  • Communicate clearly, timely and efficiently with Supervisor, Manager, co-workers, project managers and stakeholders as well, following the established NAM Creative process protocol in regards to project status, both verbally and using our online project management platform Workfront.

  • Prepare artwork for output to various vendors in the North America region or worldwide. Package contents include: Electronic files, fonts, images and artwork specifications from vendors.

  • Work efficiently and accurately through a large volume of projects on a daily basis.

  • Review final artwork for output, to ensure compliance with the company nomenclature standards or with the vendor’s specifications to ensure maximum output quality.

  • Work efficiently and develop knowledge in sourcing images from company creative database.

  • Develop knowledge and clear understanding of the Herbalife Nutrition brand and ability to work following the brand guidelines

The North America Creative Team is a full service dynamic group of professionals with a vast combined experience in each of their fields. Internally we call ourselves 368 Creative, and we foster a friendly, inclusive and respectful environment of collaboration and above all innovation. Historically we have pioneered the acquisition of new creative technologies for our brand and have been involved in proposing new brand expressions and engaging brand campaigns to push our brand to the next level. We also produce our own photography and have video edition and motion graphics capabilities.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 5 years’ experience in the graphic design field

  • 3 years’ experience of pre-press work and 2 years’ experience in photo retouching

  • Experience working on web-related and/or interactive design projects and preparing large format artwork

  • Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision

  • Good understanding of color, form, typography and design/layout when files that have already been developed by the design team need to be edited and updated with different content or repurposed to a different size

  • Ability to be organized and follow the folder structure in which the NAM Creative department keeps and develops all creative files

  • Willing to learn new technologies and trends that are to be implemented in the workflow of the company with a positive attitude and desire to expand knowledge

  • Ability to function as an effective team member

  • Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves

  • Extreme attention to detail.

  • Expertise with Adobe CC Suite and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Advanced level of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Illustrator

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Education

  • 2-4 year college degree or 5 additional years’ experience in the graphic design field, including pre-press work, photo retouching, web-related and/or interactive design projects and preparing large format artwork for print.
