POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Quality Assurance Label Coordinator will be responsible for the sampling, inspection, and disposition of product labels, as well related documentation. They will also be responsible for maintaining the product label inventory, as well as label issuance to packaging work orders. Other tasks as assigned by management, while working in a team environment. Relative to product label inspection and control they are responsible to lead all aspects of cGMP, FSMA, and SOP adherence.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Maintains label inventory.

  • Responsible for sampling, inspecting and issuing labels.

  • Assists management with approval or rejection of labeling.

  • Coordinates with Herbalife manufacturing sites and suppliers.

  • Coordinates label disposal and archival of disposal certificates.

  • Assists Quality with review and release of products for ready to ship.

  • Assists Quality with data entry and filing.

  • Ensures adherence with GMPs, FSMA, and SOPs.

  • Interacts effectively with coworkers, management and vendors.

  • Assists management with development of departmental goals and objectives.

  • Other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Well-developed organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written English.

  • Digital literacy, with solid PC and software experience.

  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.

  • Able to work well individually and as a team member under the pressure of manufacturing.

  • Forklift certification.

Experience:

  • A minimum of one year experience in the food, dietary supplement or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Knowledge of basic cGMP for the food, dietary supplement or pharmaceutical industry.

  • High degree of attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with safe work practices to include proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), allergen control, and proper sample handling and disposal.

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with label control and inventory in the food, dietary supplement or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Receiving experience.

  • Previous knowledge and understanding of Quality compliance.

  • Previous experience working in QA/QC environment.

  • Previous experience working in a food or dietary supplement manufacturing plant Quality Assurance setting.

  • Working knowledge of cGMP and regulatory guidelines.

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical or Science related discipline.

  • Better Process Control School Certification

  • HACCP Certification

  • ASQ, Six Sigma, or applicable certifications

  • Experience with Oracle, Agile, MasterControl

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products – MS Windows, Word, and Excel
